Mrs. Mudroch

Candace Mudroch

Hello! Welcome future kinders and families! My name is Mrs. Mudroch and I am so excited for you to become part of our Bulldog School Family!

Kindergarten is an important milestone in a child’s life. It’s a time for children to expand their love of learning, knowledge, interests and their ability to get along with others. It’s going to be a year of wonder and amazing growth for your child.

My classroom is an inviting place where we are going to have fun learning math, reading, writing, science and lots more! Together, we are going to learn, grow and become a school family. We have several class pets, including a guinea pig named Patches, hermit crabs and goldfish. I look forward to our kindergarten adventure with each child and family. We will have a fun-tastic year!

Hello families!

I am Mrs. McDowell and I teach kindergarten at Rudyard Elementary. I would like to tell you a little bit about our kindergarten classroom. In kindergarten we are creating a strong base for our students that they will build on during the rest of their educational experience. Just like building a tall tower, we need the base to be sturdy and strong. One piece of the tower is connections. In our classroom we work as a community. We help each other learn and grow.

We build strong relationships. Another important piece is self.

Kindergarteners are just beginning their educational experience and we work together to build their self confidence in learning and in our community. The final piece to our tower is learning. Some of the things we will learn are counting to 100, reading books, learning about our country, building ramps and reading thermometers! In kindergarten we do this in many ways. We play. We work together. We work independently. We do worksheets. We work with our hands. We work in our seats and around our school. We work inside and outdoors. When we put all of these things together we create a special place full of excitement, growth, and relationships. This is our kindergarten classroom.

I am excited for the 2021-2022 school year and can’t wait to meet all of our kindergarten Rudyard Bulldogs!

Bree Duncan

Hello Everyone!

I am Mrs. Duncan, and I teach Kindergarten here at Rudyard Elementary. I am a recent graduate of Lake Superior State University, and I have loved bringing my idea of a dream classroom to life. My dream classroom is one that promotes learning, kindness, and empathy! These traits are what lead to strong relationships built within the classroom and outside of the classroom.

In Kindergarten your child will learn to read independently, count to 100, understand foundational economic concepts, and explore the world we live in. This is only the beginning of the knowledge we unlock. Kindergarten is the foundation for your child’s entire learning journey!

As a child I always learned best by doing, and I carry that with me as a teacher. In our classroom we use a hands of approach that allows students to learn independence, problem solving, and decision making. These skills are things they will need for the rest of their lives.

This is both a special and exciting time for your family! I look forward to meeting all of our future Bulldogs, and spending a whole year learning together!

Degrees & Certifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Lake Superior State University
